Our body requires regular flow of food every 4 hours. For good health you should break your diet plan in such a way that you eat 4 meals a day, these meals should not fill the stomach. Your stomach should be only 70% full. Avoid eating heavy meals. Include as much fruits and vegetables in your food. Avoid red meat; instead eat fish as it cuts bad cholesterol. You can take good care of your appetite during the day, but during the night the situation is quite the opposite. During the time that you sleep (Recommended 8 hours of night sleep) you body is not being provided food or water and hence your stomach is empty and the acids and gases in the stomach become active. In the morning you only start eating after 8 hours, so typically your body has been starved. That’s the reason the first meal in the morning is called 'Break Fast'. Morning breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In the morning your body bio rhythm is perfect and will immediately absorb all that you feed it. It’s essential that you have a healthy breakfast so that it immediately gets absorbed by your blood. Not having breakfast in the morning can affect your heart, stomach, liver etc. I also was in a habit of not eating breakfast in the morning and thought it was ok, until I was hospitalized and put in Intensive Care Unit for 3 days. The doctor told me that since I was not eating breakfast, the acids in my inner lining in my stomach had got eroded. So if you thought breakfast is not important, think again.

What to eat - I have already mentioned your body quickly absorbs all that you feed it in the morning. Fruits are the best choice. You may include other healthy items like corn flakes, milk, dry fruits, nuts, almond, walnuts, Pulses, etc. Green tea would be a better choice over black tea. Green tea has been proven to be a very good antioxidant and is very good to improve blood circulation.
So next time you sit on the breakfast table, think, what are you feeding your body, health food or junk food. And if you are one of the persons who do not like to have breakfast, then be ready to go to the hospital sooner or later.
